One of my favorite fruit producers!  Chokecherry is a large Colorado native  with excellent drought tolerance. It will sucker to form a thicket or can be trimmed to grow as a tree.  It grows long drooping clusters of white flowers followed by abundant crops of edible black fruit. Can grow up to 15 feet tall and wide.  Enjoys full to partial sun and rich, well-draining soil.
